The Desloge Police Department is a dynamic, progressive agency that serves a thriving city of nearly 5,000. The 11 full-time and a significant contingent of reserve sworn officers of the department partner with and protect our residents and visitors through a community policing philosophy that prioritizes accountability and collaboration. 

Since its foundation in 1942, the DPD has remained at the forefront of modern policing, and today our officers receive advanced training, including field force, crisis intervention, interview and interrogation, investigations, leadership training, and much more! Members of the DPD make a difference in the lives of our community every day. We will always be there to answer the call – whether our residents need protection from a violent partner, advice about a fraud scam, or rescuing from a hostage situation. We are your partners and your protectors.

Annual Budget

$1,086,487 is the current FY 25-26 budget for the police department.  Of that, 65% consists of salary and 13% consists of benefits.
